Under the willows at the front of Pépoulie
With four young grandchildren of our own, we like to make Pépoulie as child friendly as possible.
And we are proud to have been awarded the coveted Tots to Travel Approval - go to their site to see what this means.
Here's the equipment we have for babies, toddlers and children, so that parents can save weight on the plane and/or space in the car:
crib for new-borns, two cots, with linen,
two child beds, with linen, two high chairs,
two junior chairs, two child-size wicker chairs, child-size table with two chairs,
baby bouncer, baby bath, potty, step-up stool for wash basin, changing table and mattress, child-sized crockery and cutlery,
wireless baby monitor, security gates top and bottom of the stairs, safety plugs in the electricity sockets, drawer and cupboard catches, two car seats, 0-18 kg (E2) and
0-25 kg (E17).
Plus we have various toys and books from 2 months to teenager available.
In addition we offer a babysitting service at 8 euros an hour - contact us for more details.
We're also aware how important it is for parents to know that their offspring will be safe, especially when it comes to the pool.
French law requires us to have a security cover, which conforms to the French norm NF P90-308. We unroll this over the pool when not in use and at night time.
And as an extra measure of protection we have built a picket fence around the pool.
However this doesn't take away the need for there always to be a responsible adult present when the pool is uncovered and being used by children.
There are inflatable arm bands for different ages, and toys for the swimming pool, plus an inflatable paddling pool.
With a hectare of land around the house there's plenty of space for making camps, flying kites, climbing trees, playing cricket, etc.
There's also a tree house 1.5 metres off the ground with a swing, and a climbing frame with a slide, seesaw, baby swing and child swing, plus various outdoor toys.
